INFORMATION
When we visit:
Graham's Bin Cleaning operates on a 4 week rotation. We visit locations to clean in the Cambridge area for 2 weeks followed by 2 weeks in the Fenland area. This is to allow us to visit and clean each type of bin after it has been emptied for each area. We complete 12 rotations per year starting in late January and finishing in late December.
We aim to visit on the day your bin is emptied or the day after and the majority of our cleans are done this way. However, in some cases we may need to deliver the clean more than a day after the bin is emptied.
Schedule and bin types:
We offer cleaning of residential wheelie bins of all types and commercial bins. We do not offer cleaning of small food caddy bins.
We offer three primary options for scheduling of bin cleans: every 4 week, 8, or 12 weeks. Hence scheduling a 4 weekly clean for your bin will mean it gets cleaned 12 times per year (or every other time it gets emptied).
We are happy to mix and match your scheduling e.g. cleaning your general waste bin every 4 weeks and your dry recycling bin every 12 weeks etc.
Special arrangements:
Summer service: We offer a schedule limited to cleaning bin/s from March to November (i.e. not visiting over the winter months). This can be a convenient option for those who only want the service through the warmer/gardening/grass cutting months.
On demand: We are happy to clean a different/additional bin to your regular cleans on request or where your desired cleaning interval will be irregular. Please note: if we don't receive a request for a certain bin to be cleaned for 6 months we will place the service on hold if it is the only one of your bins that we clean.
When/How we charge:
We only charge for the cleans we do. If you are a pay as you go/prepaid customer we will not leave you a ticket/deduct a clean from your account if we did not clean your bin on the day. If you were scheduled to receive multiple cleans but we were unable to do all of them then we will only charge/deduct for the cleans we did.
We accept:
Cash/Card payments on the day of the clean.
Online payments.
Cheques.
We will leave a ticket with our account details, pricing, and the information we need to register your payment if you're not in when we visit.
If your bin is not empty/we cannot find your bin:
We are not able to empty your bin if it is full or has been rejected. We are not able to take away rubbish. We will always attempt to deliver your scheduled clean and we may remove bags/small items to be replaced after cleaning in order to clean your bin properly. However, this may affect the quality of the clean.
If your bin/s will not be in plain sight/easily identifiable we will need you to advise us e.g. if it is kept in a bin store or behind a gate or if it does not have a number on it.
If you want to change your schedule:
If you decide you want us to add/remove one or more of your bin types to our regular cleaning schedule and/or change how often we clean your bins we are happy to accommodate you. Just send us an email, including your address, and specify what bin/s you want to add or remove and/or how often you would like your cleans.
For example: you might want us to change a blue bin clean to every 12 weeks instead of 8, or add regular black bin cleans etc.
How we clean:
When we clean your bin we will power wash the interior with a cleaning solution. This usually dislodges most stuck debris. It also loosens most stubborn deposits over time with repeated applications. We then scrub the interior including the lid. We remove the majority of the water with a dry mop and cloth and finally spray the bin's main and lid interior with a deodorising solution.
In our experience most deposits can be removed within a few cleans (e.g. stuck paper/cardboard and the residue it leaves behind). However, certain kinds of substance and/or damage to the plastic in a bin can result in staining or deposits that can't be removed without further damage to the bin.
